This is a part of the original British Airways Concorde in-flight service items used on the very fist Concorde service in the late 1960's and early 1970's.
These Salt & Pepper Pots were made for British Airways by Royal Doulton, and are in a very fine white porcelain with a blue band around the circumference. This band is embelished with yellow/gold coloured stylised 'droop-nose delta-winged Concordes' around the circumference. Unmistakably Concorde, and in a style so typical of that era.
In superb 'flown' condition, these pots would have made several trips at twice the speed of sound, possibly used by dignitaries and celebrities who could afford the luxury of crossing the Atlantic in just over 3 hours!
The pots are slightly over 1 inch in diameter and just over 1½ inches high and they carry the Royal Doulton factory mark, plus the British Airways item codes of EC1027 for the salt pot and EC1028 for the pepper pot.
