Any bright white marks or spots are reflections from the lighting used when taking the photographs.

A lovely modern (20th Century) clockwork Recording Barometer or Barograph by the Naudet Company of France. Being a mechanical and not electronic movement dates this instrument to the 1970's.

In fully working order, this instrument measures barometric pressure over a 7-day period using a refillable 'bucket' type nib and special ink (included). This Barograph comes with a years supply of paper and a full bottle of blue ink.
