About Us
Deco to Modern is a small, friendly, family run business dedicated to finding and supplying the best in Art Deco period through to contemporary modern ceramics and collectables. We specialise in Moorcroft and Troika pottery and have a wide range of pieces to offer. We are ourselves collectors of Moorcroft and Troika, and the business started from trading privately on popular auction sites to enable us to buy the pieces we really wanted.
The pieces we offer are sourced from private individuals and auction houses from across the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States and we also occasionally purchase pieces at the 'right price' from the internet. Alongside our current catalogue of items for sale, we offer a 'sourcing service', which gives clients access to our wide supplier network. We also offer a valuations service where we will provide a current market and insurance value for items which is acceptable to insurance companies and loss adjusters.
We realise that purchasing via the internet can be a risky business, which is why we do not 'hide' behind an anonymous auction site ID. We openly offer our phone number and welcome enquiries from current and prospective customers. All the product photographs show the actual item; we never use stock or copy photo's, so you can be assured the item you see is the item you will recieve.
Our items are shipped by Royal Mail Special Delivery and are fully insured against loss or damage. You will not find any shipping disclaimers placing liability on the purchaser; all we ask is that if an item is damaged in transit, all the packaging is retained to enable us to claim against the carrier (please see our Terms and Conditions page for more information).
Please feel free to browse our website, or visit Unit 52 at Long Street Antiques in Tetbury where you will find a broad selection of our items on display. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm. Bank Holidays 12 Noon to 4pm. Please note that the staff and owners of Long Street Antiques cannot value or buy items on our behalf. If you would like to bring someting in for appraisal or to sell, please contact us to arrange a convenient date and time; we generally only visit the shop once per week, usually on a Friday, Saturday or Monday.
