A pretty Clarice Cliff octagonal plate decorated in the Autumn Crocus pattern. The plate carries the Wilkinson Ltd Bizarre Crocus backstamp and a very lightly impressed date mark of a 6 over 30 which indicates it dates to 1930.
The crocus flowers are bright and vibrant with no sign of wear or oxidisation which is often seen on the blue and purple paintwork. The brown centre panel is in excellent condition with no signs of wear or damage.
The plate has no cracks, hairlines or restoration, but does have a very tiny barely noticeable over-glazed 'chip' out of the back edge of the rim which on close inspection appears to have been done at the factory. The plate is 14cm across the 'flats' and would make a stunning display piece.
