One of the 'must have' items in any Clarice Cliff collection, this Clarice Cliff Beehive Preserve Pot and Bee Finial Lid is in the ever popular Autumn Crocus pattern and is in stunning condition.
The pot is 4 inches tall (to the lid bee finial) and has the Newport Potteries Clarice Cliff backstamp. The pot is in fantastic condition with no damage or rubbing to the paintwork on the main body. The bee is beautifully painted with very dark wings. The only noticeable flaw is a tiny paint miss or possibly a paint chip to one of the orange bands. The inside of the pot is very clean with a small amount of light crazing to the inside base. The backstamp dates this piece from 1938.
