Clarice Cliff Bowl in the rare brightly coloured Blue Chintz pattern, a great example of her Art Deco designs and colorways. This piece carries the backstamps Clarice Cliff Fantasque and Newport Potteries Ltd, and was produced circa 1932.
Size 8½" (21.5cm) diameter, and as is often the case with these hand-painted items, there is some minor paint loss to the outside main pattern and to a greater extent within the inner rim of the bowl. There are also a few minor 'flea bites' to the glase on the rim lip, however this does not detract from the beauty of this bowl in a classic Clarice pattern.
