A very pretty Celtic Web pattern vase designed by Emma Bossons in 2002. Inspired by the Celtic images used by Art Nouveau designer Archibald Knox in his silver and pewter work for Liberty's, this vase has a wonderfully complex and organic pattern in bright colours, beautifully executed on this slender and elegant shape vase.
This vase has the EB stamp for Emma Bossons FRSA as the designer, plus the painters mark Cs for Claire Shelley who started at Moorcroft in 1999, and the tubeliners mark GP for Gillian Powell who was at Moorcroft from 1998. Additionally the manufacturing date mark of a 'pen nib' indicates that this vase was produced in 2003.
Vase is a first quality piece and has no 'red dot' or silverline seconds mark. It stands 8 inches (20cm) tall with a maximum diameter of 3½ inches (9cm) and comes complete in its blue Moorcroft presentation box.
