An absolutely stunning 46/10 style inverted baluster vase in the Chapada Toucan pattern designed by Sian Leeper in 2002. Limited to only 350 pieces worldwide, this is No 183.
The vase is intricately decorated with the main subject being the Red -Billed Toucan. There are two additional birds a Scarlet Tanager and a Blue-crowned Trogon, plus foliage and fruit circling the vase.
Sian Leeper, who was originally from Somerset, joined the Moorcroft Design Studio in October 1999, and brought with her a plethora of animal designs in the ensuing years. After eight years designing some stunning pieces for Moorcroft Sian will be leaving in 2008 to spend more time with her family.
This vase is a genuine first quality piece and is not marked with either a 'silver line' or the later 'red dot' indicating a factory second. It stands 25.5 cm (10") tall and is in stunning unmarked condition. A rare chance to buy this highly sought after piece.
