A 1950s Poole Pottery Preserve Pot and Lid (shape 287) in the Original Floriana Sprig (BF) pattern. This pattern was designed in 1925 by Truda Carter and was later redrawn and simplified by Ruth Pavely, with the pattern code changing from BF to EW. This piece bears the decorators /paintresses mark for Alice Cochran who worked at Poole between 1952 and 1956. Given this information, and the form of factory mark used between 1952 - 1955, we can date the piece quite accurately to the early 1950's.

Both pot and lid are in super condition with no chips, cracks or damage. The interior of the pot is clean and unmarked.

Size of the pot is 5 Inches (12.5cm) tall to the top of the lid finial and has a maximum diameter of 3½ inches (9cm) approx.
