A 1950s Poole Pottery Preserve Pot and Lid (shape 288s) in the Floriana Sprig (KW) pattern. This pattern is the simplified form of the original BF pattern designed in the 1930's by Truda Carter. Re-drawn and simplified in 1956 by Ruth Pavely, this piece bears the decorators /paintresses mark for Jacqueline Way who worked at Poole between 1958 and 1964. Given this information, and the form of factory mark used between 1959 - 1967, we can date the piece quite accurately to the late 1950's or early 1960's.
Both pot and lid are in super condition with no chips, cracks or damage. The interior of the pot is clean and unmarked.
Size of the pot is 4 Inches (10cm) tall to the top of the lid finial and has a maximum diameter of 3½ inches (9cm) approx.
