A 1960s 'Torpedo' shape Poole Pottery vase in the sought after S/LE Yellow Bird pattern. This pattern was created back in 1925 by the famous designer Truda Adams and re-drawn in 1955 by Ruth Pavely. This piece bears the decorators /paintresses mark for Patricia Wells.
Vase has a plethora of multi-coloured flowers in the typical Poole style. Hidden amongst these flowers are a Yellow Bird and a Blue Cockerel! In lovely condition , but has a couple of very minor marks to the white ground.
The vase stands an impressive 9" (23cm) tall with a maximum diameter of 3½" (9cm)
