Royal Doulton produced a range of Whiskey Flaggons for the Whyte & Mackay distillary, this range from the 1970's & 1980's comprised Birds of Prey. This particular flaggon is the Golden Eagle and was the largest of the range standing 11" tall.
Designed and modelled by John Tongue, this model was available in 1984. Unlike others in the range, the stopper for this flaggon is under the head.
The Eagle is in good condition though there is a minor chip to the glaze on the tail. I'm not sure if this is a firing flaw or damage as it seems to be glazed over. There is no contents and it's supplied empty as an ornamental piece only.
