Any bright white marks or spots are reflections from the lighting used when taking the photographs.

Royal Doulton produced a range of Whiskey Flaggons for the Whyte & Mackay distillary, this range from the 1970's & 1980's comprised Birds of Prey. This particular flaggon is the Merlin.

Designed and modelled by John G Tongue, this model was available in 1979. This flaggon has a plastic stopper in the base to enable it to be displayed once empty. This flaggon is empty, though the stopper and paper seal are still present.

Standing 7" tall, this is an impressive model for both a collector of birds and also Royal Doulton.
