A Troika T0306 Square Rimmed Bowl (often referred to as an ashtray). The bowl is decorated by Alison Brigden (later Strutt) who worked at the Troika Newlyn pottery from 1976 until 1983. Alison was Head Decorator from 1981 and took over from Louise Jinks when she left the company.
In the much sought after and collectable 'Petrol Blue' colourway with an unusual light lilac gloss glazed centre panel, this piece is carries the initials AB and the standard hand painted Troika marks to the base. The bowl is 19cm (7½ inches) square and is 3cm (1¼ inches) high.
