Becoming much harder to find on the open market now is the Chimney Vase. This example is decorated by Louise Jinks (later McClary) who worked at the Newlyn works from 1976 to 1981 and was the head decorator between 1979 and 1981.
This Chimney has a mixture of both stone matt and gloss glazes to the highlights, and is coloured in muted browns, olive green and dark green with a few key highlights in the gloss 'lilac' colour. The 'edge' and chimney of the vase is glazed in a plae blue/lilac gloss glaze. It stands 20cm (8") tall (max) and is 11.5cm (4½") wide by 4.5cm (1¾") deep.
Vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. An item every troika collector should have in their collection.
