One of the much rarer and more desireable Troika shapes is this type T0701 Square Rimmed Bowl (often referred to as an ashtray). The bowl is decorated by Alison Brigden (later Strutt) who worked at the Troika Newlyn pottery from 1976 until 1983. She was Head Decorator from 1981 and took over from Louise Jinks when she left the company.
In the much sought after and collectable 'Petrol Blue' colourway this piece is carries the initials AB and the standard hand painted Troika marks to the base. The bowl is 16cm (6¼") square and is 3cm (1¼") high.
