We jumped at the chance to buy in this lovely Troika T0804 small Textured Cube Vase as this particular pattern depicting a Fish, Sea and Sun design on the front, and a 'Desert Island' scene on the reverse with a palm tree, beach and sun is extremely hard to obtain and is one of the most desirable of all the small cube designs.
Decorated by Alison Brigden in a semi-gloss earth brown ground with the pattern highlighted in dark and light blue, cream and brown. Alison is one of the most prolific and collected decorators who worked for Troika from 1976 to 1983 and was the senior decorator between 1981 and 1983 after taking over the role from Louise Jinks on her departure in 1981.
Vase is in stunning condition and is in a rare and desirable design, with no chips, cracks or restoration guaranteed. Size is 9.5cm (3¾ inches) square by 9cm (3½ inches) tall approx.
