This is a lovely Troika T0804 Textured Cube Vase decorated by Vicky Drew (later Donnithorne) who worked at the Troika Newlyn pottery in 1980. Vicky was a Youth Training Scheme (YTS) trainee and was at the pottery for only 6 months, and unusually for one of the YTS trainees has been identified against her mark.
Each face has a different pattern, one side looks like an apple and leaf (or possibly pips), with the other three being somewhat more abstract. As is usual for these cubes, two faces are highlighted in additional colours and two are plain in the ground colour. Overall, the vase is a blue-grey colour with the two decorated faces being picked out in the lighter Troika Blue and white. The interior of the pot is in the bright titanium white gloss tin glaze.
Vase is in stunning condition and is 9.5cm (3¾ inches) square by 9cm (3½ inches) tall.
