One of the most collected and affordable pieces is the Troika T2001 Marmalade Pot. This one is a good example which has been decorated by by Ann Jones, who worked part-time at the Troika Newlyn Pottery between 1976 and 1977. Due to the comparatively small quantity of pieces produced by Anne, items bearing her mark are both rare and collectable.
The pot is in an overall mid brown colour and each face has a different design with two opposing faces coloured in ochre and moss green, the other two in relief only in the same colour as the ground. The shoulders of the pot are in a dark petrol blue and the inside is in titanium white tin glaze.
It stands 10cm (4 inches) tall to the rim and is 7.5cm (3 inches) square. The base carries the standard hand painted Troika mark and the stylised AJ monogram for Ann Jones. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or other damage evident, a nice piece to start a Troika collection.
