From the very early days of Troika when the Pottery was based at Wheal Dream near Porthgwidden Beach, St Ives, this Smooth Medium Slab Vase is typical of the work produced by Lesley Illsley and Benny Sirota in the early 1960s.
The vase is a lovely pale blue colour with a starburst or flower design scribed onto the front and rear faces. Vase is 4¾" (12cm) tall by 2¾" (7cm) wide by 1¾" (4.5cm) deep.
The base is marked with the printed backstamp indicative of an early St. Ives piece and as is normal with early St. Ives vases, there is no decorators mark.
