A T3003 Large Wheel Vase decorated by Linda Hazel, who worked at the Troika Newlyn pottery in the 1970's. It is thought she started in 1970 and worked through until 1973, and it is known she was definitely at the pottery in 1972.
This wheel vase, heavily sculpted in an unusual and rarely seen design, is approximately 20cm (8 inches) diameter and is about 5cm (2 inches) wide. It is decorated in rough stone glaze with the main body in a mute blue/grey with areas of the pattern picked out in blue, black and brown. The base carries the hand-written Troika Cornwall mark and the LH mark for Linda Hazel.
A beautiful vase in lovely overall condition with no damage or restoration guaranteed, and in a seldom offered size. This vase would make a stunning addition to any Troika collection, big or small and would make an ideal present for the novice or experienced collector alike.
