A T3004 Medium Wheel Vase decorated by Julian Greenwood-Penny in what is known as the Nautilus design due to one face being similar to that of a Nautilus shell.
This piece is unusual in that it was decorated by Julian Greenwood-Penny who was predominantly a designer at Troika between 1977 and 1983. It is understood that the Nautilus wheel vase was one of his designs and therefore quite fitting that this piece carries his initials.
The vase is approximately 16.5cm (6½") diameter and is about 4.5cm (1¾") wide. It is decorated in a semi-gloss glaze in the 'Troika Blue' ground with areas of the pattern picked out in shades of brown, grey, green, light blue and white. The base carries the hand-written Troika mark and the monogram JP for Julian Greenwood-Penny. A beautiful vase in lovely condition with no chips or cracks evident.
