Troika T3004 Medium Wheel Vase was decorated by Penny Black (later Roland), who worked at the potteries from the1960's until 1976. Not to be confused with Penny Broadrib who had a similar mark, the B in Penny Black's monogram has a 'tail' which aids identification.
This wheel is decorated with circles and triangles design on both sides, though as is usual with Troika pieces, each side is different. Painted in an overall light blue glaze with the centre panels picked out in a darker blue and blue/green. The vase has a diameter of 16.5cm (6½ inches) and 4.5cm (1¾ inches) deep.
The base bears the usual hand painted Troika mark and the PB monogram for Penny Black. In super condition, there are no discernable chips, cracks or crazing but a couple of very tiny edge frits near the base which were probably done in the pottery.
