A T3004 Medium Wheel Vase decorated by Simone Kilburn in a striking Aztec design. Simone joined Troika in the autumn of 1975 straight from school and worked under Avril Bennet for just 18 months, leaving in the spring of 1977. Her work is always of an excellent quality, probably due in no small part to Lesley Illsley's iron grip on quality control at that time!
The vase is approximately 16.5cm (6½") diameter and is about 4.5cm (1¾") wide. It is decorated in matt stone glaze in light tones of brown with areas of the pattern picked out in pale blue. The base carries the hand-written Troika England mark and the monogram SK for Simone Kilburn.
A beautiful vase in lovely condition with no chips or cracks evident.
