One of the rarer patterns, this Trinket Box and Cover designed by William Moorcroft is decorated with the rare Freesia pattern on an Ivory ground.
Both the inside of the lid and the base of the box carry the impressed signature mark and the base has a paper label bearing the Royal Warrant, 'Potters to H.M. The Queen'. This dates the box to around 1935 maiking it just over 70 years old.
The box is in good overall condition, though in places the tube-lining has been rubbed, and the price reflects this. There are no other chips or cracks evident. A lovely early piece from the Art Deco era.
